Couldn't say it better. I hope that all concerned (Kibaki, Michuki, and all the other "presidents men") read this and think about it very carefully. The blood of all the inocent Kenyans who have died, and the cries of justice of all those who have indeed been cheated of what God gave them is on their hands. God will hold them responsible for all this pain, agony anguish and death.
Remember, the country is greater than any one man or his friends. The price we paid for freedom (read self governance by a LEADER OF OUR OWN LIKING OR CHOICE) was great and we shall not let it be in vain.

Ms Holmes,

Hello, I am the online editor of Kenya's only literary journal, Kwani? Your blog was pointed out to us through concerned kenyan writers googlegroup. It is one of the coolest photoblog on the kenyan situation I have seen and the photography is particularly outstanding.

Please get in touch with me if you are interested in getting to know what we do and how as a group of Kenyan writers, together with our friends all over the world, we are responding to the crisis.

Also do visit our blog for in-depth opinion and analysis.

Poetry Friday: Shilling Love

In honor of Women's History Month, I thought I'd feature South Asian women poets on Poetry Fridays for the remainder of March. Today's selection is "Shilling Love," by Kenyan-Indian-American spoken word artist Shailja Patel.
