He sat up, shrugged us off, and started to walk again. &#8220;What is your name?\u00e2\u20ac\u0153 I yelled again. &#8220;Omid,\u00e2\u20ac\u009d he said and marched on towards Azadi. Omid means hope.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">+<\/span><\/p>\n<p>TIME Magazine has written an interesting piece about the importance of martydom in Shiite Islam and argues that the fourty day mourning cycles in Shiite tradition seems already to be dictating the rythym of the revolt just as it did in 1979. <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.time.com\/time\/world\/article\/0,8599,1906049,00.html\" target=\"_blank\">Read the TIME article <\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8220;Because of Hussein, revolt against tyranny became part of Shiite tradition. Indeed, protest and martyrdom are widely considered duties to God.
